Care at the heart of your community

Millway House offers a range of care services to meet the needs of every resident. Alongside specialist Nursing Care, Dementia Care and Care for Older People, we also offer Respite Care – so whatever your needs, or the needs of your loved one, we can tailor the care we provide.

All our services are delivered by our team of nurses and carers and who work closely with support staff to provide a holistic approach to care and a commitment to attention to detail that’s second to none.

Nursing Care

Nursing care is any care that requires a Registered Nurse to undertake or supervise the care. And our team of nurses provide quality 24-hour care for people with more complex health- and rehabilitation needs.

Supported by our care team, we pride ourselves on getting to know and keeping a close eye on each of our residents. We liaise with GPs and the primary care network, where necessary, to ensure our residents’ needs are met, too. Our overarching focus is on providing nursing care for every day or end-of-life, that’s personalised, compassionate and professional.

Respite Care

Millway House offers short stay care – otherwise known as respite care – for people who need some support in between leaving hospital and returning home, or when family members, who provide the usual care, are away on holiday. Our team offer the nursing care required in a friendly and welcoming home-from-home environment.

Care for Older People

Often referred to as personal or social care, residential care services are provided by our team for residents, who may no longer be able to live alone or no longer wish to live alone at home. From washing and dressing to supporting mealtimes and the administration of medication, our team build trusting relationships with residents to understand the exact care they need.

Dementia Care

Increasingly common in older people, our team are proficient in caring for – and enhancing the quality of life of people with dementia. All types of dementia are associated with a decline in memory or thinking skills, and sometimes these symptoms may be relatively mild but sometimes they may affect people in a more significant way. This can affect their ability to perform everyday activities, and that’s where we come in.

We work closely with families to support residents with a mild to moderate conditions, whether they’ve been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease or one of the other types of dementia which exist.

Activities & wellbeing

We’re proud of our extensive programme of activities here at Millway House. This programme is organised and led by our two Activities & Wellbeing coordinators, who plan a wide selection of events, so there’s always something to look forward to.
